You must be 21 years old to conduct business with Green Carat’s myKarat program. You must be the owner of any property offered to us, and you must be acting on your behalf, and not as the agent or representative of another person.

Offers

Offers will be made to you only by email, after your property has been received and examined. If you reject our offer, or fail to respond within seven days, we will return the goods to you. If shipment of returned goods is delayed due to your non-response, or delivery fails for any reason, you agree that Green Carat may deduct delivery and insurance costs (actual) and storage costs ($1.00 per day per $100 of our valuation) in kind, without further notice, from the goods you submitted.

Offers for “Reuse Your Gold” property containing a refined equivalent in excess of four ounces of fine gold will be subject to higher administrative fees.

Store credits not used within six months will be donated to a charity of Green Carat’s choice and will not be refunded.

Green Carat is not responsible for damage to or loss of your gemstones, unless we explicitly agree to such responsibility before receipt of the goods. We suggest removing any gems before shipping your jewelry.

Return Insurance

You will be offered the fair market wholesale price for goods you send to us. If those goods are returned to you, we will insure the shipment for no more than twice the amount we have offered you, regardless of the value you place upon it, or the value for which you insured it when shipping to us, unless you notify us by email and receive confirmation. If you wish to have it insured for more, you will be responsible for the excess cost of shipping and insurance using our carrier.

Valuation

Offers will be based upon the market value of gold as reported by www.kitco.com for the day we log in your goods (typically within 2 days of receipt).

Audit Confirmation of Your myKarat Transaction

You may be contacted by an independent auditor to confirm your submission of post-consumer gold to the myKarat program. This is to verify the integrity of our claims regarding use of post-consumer gold in our jewelry. We would appreciate your prompt response to those inquiries. Responding will not compromise the confidentiality of the transaction in any way.

Patriot Act

Green Carat LC has implemented an anti-money laundering program in compliance with the USA Patriot Act. You may be asked for information to help us comply with that program.
